Day off from school

Today was a day off from school...not because of illness or taking of leave...but because I attended a course in teacher's network from 9-5pm

Haha..first time went to teacher's network..met the usual fellow teachers across singapore ... desmond, kamal, jaron, bryan etc... what's so typical among teachers is that during our day off from school, almost all of us took stuffs to do there ... piles of marking as well as laptops to type up lessons... wow... teacher's life no joke. Apart from me (what other better time to mark my student's assignments?)..there are teachers who brought stacks of compo to mark... as well as other work. Haha..really no life.

Grabbed a copy of the Strait Times on the way back home... 2 articles on the cover page are about the coup in Thailand as well as PM thanking S'poreans for success for the recent IMF ... Indeed life is so uncertain. But glad that for Bangkok, there's no bloodshed and things seem normal for now...
