Rumours hurt

Felt depressed these few days.... had never knew rumours could be so volatile, and could break up relationships that fast... It's a skill, and takes great wisdom, to know how, who, and what to say at appropriate times... for once the truth is twisted...it brings great pain to the people around...

Seems to have no rest these few days.... physical body yearning to have rest this weekend...
Parents flying off tmr... Bon Voyage to them...

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday -- Commemoration of the ressurection of Jesus... evidence of Him conquering the greatest enemy -- death...

It also shows that by Him, Christians have a hope of a better future.

I'm glad that even today, I had witnessed a leukemia patient who is bed-ridden, accepting the love of Jesus. May the healing power heal Him.

Anyway, another reason for me to be glad. Last few days, I was kinda moody when my anti-virus software detected "virus alert"in my laptop. So I killed them . To my dismay, when I scanned my computer another time, more were detected. Killed them (i mean, the virus). More appeared. Really moody. Imagine much time sacrificed to trouble-shooting. However, my anti-virus software couldn't identify the name.

Hmm...asked my friend in church for advice, who told me to download another anti-virus software called AVG. Hmm...free as it was...it was quite good, identifying it to be "Win32.NSAnti." As I checked google, it was actually a trojan horse with potentially little harm (phew!)...however, the advice was to get a good anti-spyware..which I got....realizing that for the past year, the defences of my computer was actually not strong!

Nevertheless, I am happy that most of the damage has been restored to normal. Also reminded me the importance of upgrades...haha.

Lastly, watched almost 3 hrs of - SPOP finals... Fever won. However, I really don't care which won. It was good to see the composers of songs that were sang during my childhood to perform, and to see Wayne Lim performing. (a person I happen to know before he got famous)

As for President Ma Yingjiu winning the elections, hmmm...life still goes on.

The meaning of Good Friday

Thank you God for the greatest sacrifice of all ...
The act of Abraham sacrificing his son Isaac more than 4000 years ago was only a pre-shadow of what was to come....
Thank you so much...

You died ... so that we may live ...

March Holidays thus far

March holidays is not really a time for rest...

Monday and Tuesday - 2 full days in ACS(I)..with students for math enrichment workshop. realised that a number of the year 2 students forgot what I've taught time last year ... prove that square root 2 is irrational...

Wednesday - helped parents to move and clean house. Tiring...

Wow..half the holidays gone - still got lots of things to do:
1) Set exam paper
2) grade project work
3) come up answers with assignments
4) DSA administration
5) P4 carnival administration

Well, at least there is time to watch show... anyway sad that one good show is going to end soon ... revolving doors of vengeance. One of my fave hong kong shows to date. Unlike most big plot hongkong shows that in the end, many people were killed or went bankrupt, this show talks about repaying goodness, family love, forgiveness... really enjoy it.

Holidays ending soon...

Tuesday updates

Shocked this morning....

First thing after I reached school, the HR department rang the phone, "Samuel, can you come up to the General Office?"
Went up, saw the HR personnel, who gave me a letter, "You are to attend a compulsory training session 2.30-5.30pm on the following days...04-03-2008....

Read again... the HR personnel apologized, "Sorry, only got this letter today..."

Opps.... Big communications error.... need to apologize to the following groups of people

Students taking the probability class: Can't give you all the test papers personally. Hope the paper is not too easy nor too hard for most of you.

Math clinic class: Can't personally tutor you all..

PSLs and other student leaders... can't see your full dress rehearsal on stage

Mr Ku and Ms Lee: For graciously taking over my classes...thanks so much!

Anyway..the training is relatively boring...but managed to catch up with long time friends, esp Kee Siang and Elsa... hmm... also learnt a lesson or two about setting test and exam questions..;)

Evening, somehow managed to catch up with lijie and hui-im when they came for the keyboard lessons with me this evening...

wow..starting to play fast rock songs...not easy..bleh!

3 more days to one week break

Revisit to NTU

Went for dinner at NTU this evening...whee...
Many more people now...missed the good food there...Curry Katsu Don from Canteen A...simply the best
Went to NUS Science Canteen not too long ago...the Wanton Mee...super cheap and good....
How I miss tertiary food ... crossing my fingers...that one day... these food stall owners could set up franchises at my school canteen...

Hoho.
Saw some former colleagues in my school now..they were from a school previously that I taught for relief teaching...
Gee...cant recognise some of them....
After chatting..found out actually..all schools are the same...

Turning nerd during my weekend...bought a whole set of Chinese History and literary Classics (Comics version). Finished reading 2 out of 6 books that I bought....gee....looking fwd to a nerdish lifestyle during the march holidays.
