Updates this week
Let's see what was done last week.
Monday to Thursday, went to Genting Highlands for a Inter-church Missions Conference. Do not be mistaken, we did not go to the hotels, but to a resort which is 20 min walk from where the hotels were. Indeed, we were inspired by all the sharings, of how some workers worked for many years among the villages in Thailand, slumps on Phillippines, and prepararation if one wants to go for short-term as well as long term missions overseas. Such passion and zeal among the missionaries to sacrificed their time and comfortable lifestyle just to spread more love and joy to the less fortunate really inspired me. Maybe one day, I would be like them...going to some obscure village in an not so developed country and live among the people for years...hmm..maybe... but I don't think I could survive the sanitory conditions in these places...
Friday, went back to school...did some admin ...surprised to see some colleagues still in school, working through the holidays....gee....my school really got no life..haha....but then again ... the school is blessed because of dedicated teachers, isn't it?
Saturday morning...went to Huanyang and Jennifer's church wedding. Finally wedded, haha, and somemore both are going to be teachers. Yeah...welcome to the profession to mould the future. Happy for them ..really did....and as usual, weddings are a time to catch up with friends....
Afternoon, went to Borders with Weilong, Stanley, Muney and my wife....time flies....soon in August, Stan would be off to Shanghai to teach.
Evening, went to Bible study, before going to cell group outing ...watched Kungfu Panda at Toa Payoh....super nice!! super cute!!! Super cheesy as well...nevertheless....a good feeling as i watched the show with 3 yr old Matthew and 1+ year old Caleb....Caleb is so restless!
