School opening day

This is the 250th post in my blog...yeah!!

Today marked the official opening ceremony of my school. A big event for my school, the GOH being Mr Tharman, Minster of Education. So no lessons to be held. Instead, school starts officially at 5 pm, but as teachers, some of us reported around 2 pm.

In the morning, watched Mr Bean again!! This time, i watched it with my students from my former form class (yeah..!) Glad that they were united. In fact, almost all of them are now posted to different classes, but they still meet up once a while. Anyway had been going to VIVO city for the past few days.

Lunch at vivocity with former class
After lunch, went to school to prepare for exhibition for mathematics booth. Was busy, but derived fun from taking photos with my students in uniform! haha.
It rained heavily. Many exhibits were wet. But at least our spirits are undaunted. And the weather was cool.

Taking with 2 scouts, PC and TL.
I was one of the teachers in charge of kite flying (though it's really the students who did a lot for it)... so went down to take a look at their preparation. It was really fun and enjoyable to see students prepare and run! Thank God for really the rain to stop when we need a good weather.

After kite flying, went to hall to see the live telecast for the performance in the auditorium. Then went to help out in the exhibits while all the guests came.

Dinner time, went to have dinner with other teachers in the school canteen. Some students dressed up as scientists to explain to us the history of science.

Einstein and Newton talking to us
Of course, the teachers entertained ourselves by playing with dry ice as well.

Experimenting in dinner table.

Congratulations to the students and to the school for the hard effort we put in. So good that tomorrow is an off day for all of us!
