Busy week

Really had a busy week last week.

On Sunday, we had received the news at night that Auntie Soo was critically ill, and was warded to the hospital A&E. At night we called our church pastor and elder, who had just flown off for missions. On monday morning, auntie soo was declared brain-dead. So in the evening at 7pm, my family rushed to the hospital to visit her family. It was really sad, knowing that her life support system was really supported by a machine. The family was waiting for my pastor and elder to fly back to Singapore, to pray for auntie soo, before making the tough decision to pull the plug.

Around 9 after leaving the hospital for an hour, the family called, saying auntie soo was dead. It was really sad. At 10+, my mom went to fetch Pastor and Elder from the airport (it was later that I found out they spent quite a sum just to book a last minute flight back to Singapore), while my brothers and I went to the hospital, where there were a number of church friends waiting. The family wanted to wait for Pastor and Elder to pray for auntie soo before they send the body to be frozen. And it was a fight for time, as the medical workers would only allow the body to remain in the room till 11.30pm (and the supposed timing for flight touch down was 11pm)

But by the grace of God, Pastor and elder managed to rush to the hospital (it helps as the hospital is located in tampines) Anyway by the grace of God, pastor and elder arrived in the hospital at 11.25pm and managed to pray for family.

At midnight, my bro and I stayed till 3 am to prepare the program sheet for the wake the next few days. Super tired. On Tuesaday, my bro managed to print the sheet, get keyboard and amplifier for the wake (he took 2 hours off from his work!). After school, I went home, before rushing to the wake.

On wednesday, the same follows. On thursday, during lunch time, I was really grateful to be granted an hour's off from school to go the the burial. Really was a sad moment, but we believed the spirit of Auntie soo would go to heaven. Thank God for sustaining the whole family.

Friday night was the usual prayer meeting. Uncle soo shared with us his life story with auntie soo, and how God has blessed them and their family. Really glad that his life has been strengthened through the ordeal.
