Most tiring weekend

These few days happens to be the most days I have throughout the semester. So much more tiring than just examinations and throughout the sem.

Friday:

Morning, went to school to recce around NUS campus, in preparation for the student leadership camp two days later. Late morning, settle so much admin stuff in preparation for camp, alongside with fellow teachers Dr Seah, Mr Sukandar, Ms Loh and Mr Png.

Afternoon, supposedly meet form class for an outing at VIVO but due to lousy telephone communication, went to LIDO instead. Nevertheless, went home for rest for an hour before proceeding on to go school for Arts Fest

Night, supposed a time to relax and enjoy, but in the end need to talk to a parent regarding his son. So miss most of the fun. Managed to come for the disco night though.

Disco night: Music too loud, creating headache for me though. Later, camp briefing began. Helped ensure everything is in place (the teams are sorted out and rules have been briefed) before going home around 12 mn.

Sat: Went for brother's wedding. In the morning, took bridal car along with cousin Mark, who was the driver, as well as the my brother Gaius (who was the groom) to fetch his bride. When we reached the carpark, the 'sisters'were already in place to tekan the 'brothers'. MAde all of them climbed 10 storeys, ate wasabe as well as made my brother sang love song, before enabling him see his bride. Haha...thank God since Mark and I were important people, we just stood nearby and watched the fun.

After must effort, we finally brought the bride (with the groom) to the church.

In church, need to bring so much stuffs and logistics from car. Witnessed the tea ceremony, as well as set up in preparation for the ceremony. But this wedding is so different from other church ceremony. It's very funny, and that everyone seem to have a good time.

All the cousins toasting to the newly wed couple

Buffet lunch, went to coordinate the food. Apparently, there's plenty of food, but somehow, the caterers did not top up the food in time. So need to push them around to be more efficient. Then stayed on to help pack up and pulled out all the decorations. Stayed till 4+

Later accompanied another brother, Paul, to bring all the gifts and stuffs to Gaius' new place, dropped them down, before going home for a bathe, and a 10 min rest, before Mark picked me up to go pick up Gaius and he wife Siting to go to wedding banquet.

At the wedding benquet, although only family members are invited to attend, Paul and I need to be ushers to settle our guests. It's sumptuous meal, with abalone, crabmeat, sharkfin, drunken prawns, Beijing Duck. Sat with Sarah (Sec 2 cousin) Really cute...haha...Also get to see nephews Daniel and Samuel (3 yr old and 1 yr old boys)... so so so cute too.

After dinner, went back to school for the camp. Get to learn to dance partially the mass dance. Then ensured that students are in bed ...(some students so energetic, 12 midnite still say cant sleep)..then slept almost at 2 am.

Sunday Morning, woke up, did mass dance... went for breakfast, then 4 hours of planning with students for orientation camp, then lunch, then cheers practice (My group, Model the Way, with their super school cheer). Coordinated games, then buffet dinner, and last of all, presentation of their plans that they did in the morning. Went back home at 9pm

Monday: Went to school. Immediately sorted all the report books. Talked to more than 30 parents from 8.00 am - 4.oo pm (With only lunch break)..so tiring...flu somemore along with headache (many parents asked things like -- Why is my son/daughter's english/chinese so bad)... haha...errr I wanted to answer them frankly. "Errr...I don't teach english lor... " haha..but many parents are really sweet. And they are really concerned about their children, if only our students are able to appreciate the care and concern their parents give them.

Night: Went dinner at holland V with some colleagues, before coming back for more admin. went home at 9pm

Finally home sweet home...finally can rest...
