School Sports day and Day of His power!

Tuesday was my school's sports day... super unique coz other schools had their NDP celebrations in the morning...ours is in the afternoon and that we have no parades nor march past... just a regular school sports meet...

Well...firstly, it was the issue of holding a sports meet in the afternoon instead of morning. The rationale was that our grand stand beside the track would be facing the morning sun, thus making it terrible hot if the sports meet was held in the morning...reasonable enough... but that means that it would be almost impossible for teachers and students to organize a 3 day 2 night trip to HK or Malaysia, since school officially ends at 5.30pm on Tuesday. Anyway the good news was that the milo truck uncle told me that because we were one of the rare schools who held in the afternoon, the milo truck would be readily available at a short notice's time! yeah...yup yup..the milo truck came to our school!!

Speaking of the milo truck...i drank 4 cups ... made the mistake of telling one of my students my record of drinking 21 cups of milo in a day...then she challenged by drinking 18 cups at a go and gave up... well i thought that she would have won me...coz i actually drank 21 cups of milo in a span of 3 hrs... (it was in NUS..drank 11 cups...go for 2 hr lecture, before drinking 10 cups. Furthermore, in the past, milo was made of fattening condensed milk...which was much nicer than the not-so-sweer but so called healthie variation now)

Anyway thought my students quite talented today... some could run very well (and that their academic grades are also the excellent kind)... some of them super funny (got one yr 2 who "seemingly" know lots about spotting BGR among friends.) ... i am suprised that the relationships between some of the yr 1 and yr 2 students are very good... just hope that the yr 1 students will not be too influenced by the yr 2 students..haha :)

Reached school.. went for sports meet...first time participating in teacher's relay..in fact this was the first sports relay i participated after my primary school days!!! haha ... cannot run lar...but at least thanks to the rest of the capable staff...my team got 2nd...

at 7 pm..rushed to Singapore Indoor Stadium for a time of prayer...super ministering.... as we prayed for Singapore... was encouraged to see hearts for even our neighbours...East Timor... was reminded of the lyrics of an old song...which was very meaningful...

"It only takes a spark, to get the fire going
And soon all those around, can warm up in its glowing
That's how it is with God's love, once you have experienced it
You spread His love to everyone
You want to pass it on."
