Love one another
Yesterday went to seamen's fellowship for service...
Today went to cell group for gathering
Coincidentally, the theme for 2 meetings is LOVE
"A new commandment I give unto you, that you love one another ..."
"Love God with all our heart, our mind, our soul and our strength..."
"Love our neighbour as ourselves"
Many of us shared how much we struggle in loving people...loving the unlovables...we rather choose to ignore them, or follow the majority to dislike them as well... for people who did us wrong, we choose not to forgive them...
In secondary school, I too come across someone who is quite unlovable and unpopular with others as well... but as I chose to talk to him and knew him better...I realised that he came from a broken home and his backgroud was quite sad... which affected him a lot... it was then that I realize such people are the ones who needed our love even more...
One of the things I learn as a Christian is the power of forgiveness... we practice forgiveness because He is the one who forgives us and even pay the price for us... so why not forgive those who sincerely wants to do good? Forgiveness releases pain, hurt and brings happiness and love too. If only we can see the world in a different light...
