Latest updates

Yes, finally back to blogging!

Some frequent visitors of this site might ponder why is there a 3 week rest of this blog ... here are the reasons.

1) Busy with marriage prep (mid nov)
2) Honeymoon (all the way from mid nov to dec 1)
3) Post honeymoon admin and pre PSL camp admin (1st week dec)
4) PSL admin
5) Married status - Different ... would rather spend time with someone at night then to put my face on the computer and write...

To make my motivation less, I couldn't upload my photos to this blog using my home computer... something might be wrong with my internet configurations.... but so, in future, don't expect fanciful photos here...juz words...(the funny thing is i can upload photos borrowed from other websites...hmmm)
Don't think will update this blog often in future..maybe once a week? hmmm

15-16 Nov

Most stressful yet happy days of my life...prep for marriage ... getting the gown ready ... going to the bridal shop, speaking to the wedding helpers, preparing the wedding venue etc etc... indeed, it is stressful if most of the wedding stuffs are planned and run by the couple themselves. Thank God for relatives and friends for helping us...indeed....we are blessed because you choose to bless us.

17 Nov

Big Day! Morning - door knocking and tea ceremony (a must for traditional chinese families)

Noon - Church wedding ceremony (Apologies for 3 groups of people who has impacted my life, yet there was no way for me to invite due to space constraints - my NS friends, former students from practicum school, as well as students from present school), your well wishes are really appreciated, and for the PSLs, those who came from the camp got to see my dream gal as well.

Night - small scale family wedding dinner...those invited are only relatives.

18 Nov - 19 Nov

Post wedding admin - Prep for housing, wedding bills, prep for honeymoon etc...

20 Nov - 1 Dec

Honeymoon.... off to Switzerland and Italy... Really no regrets going to these 2 places...really fun...

Switzerland - A place with beautiful landscape, rich scenery, good transport system, safe place ... everywhere has picture postcard view... The greatest achivement and highlight was to go up the Jungfrau region, the highest point in the Alps. Also first time in my life to experience not just snow, but a snow storm!

Italy - Really thank God for going in November, as it is actually not the peak season for tourists. so managed to go to many good places with very rich historical and cultural building, impossible to even step in during peak seasons.

Venice - Took a boat down the 300 canals.
Leaning tower of Pisa - Managed to climb to the top

Colosseum - Took photo of it ...

Vatican city - Visited the Sistine Chapel as well as Michelangelo's work of art

As compared to Switzerland, Italy's system is not fantastic. Before leaving Rome, we witnessed a taxi strike as well, and the security is not that good as well. Overall the trip was good.
It was quite disheartening to see most youths in the tour group not enjoying the trip, saying those buildings are boring, food is not nice etc etc... However, they should appreciate their parents taking time off to really bring the whole family to Europe (hey, not cheap okay?? And also it was only the times after we started working that we could afford the luxury)
By the way, public toilets in Europe are not free. they cost 50 cents to 1 dollar euro. (almost equivalent to S$1 - S$2)
2 Dec
Came back to Singapore. Rested. Night time went to NUS friend's wedding dinner. Congrats to Jason and Lirong!!! Had fun catching up with the class as well..
4 - 6 Dec
PSL Camp. Enjoyed thoroughly, with objectives met. Well done everyone! Hope you have time to rest as well...
