Observations from a fellow teacher

Recently, a fellow teacher from another school sent me his observations with regards to some of the students he taught. My friend was in charge basketball. This was what was observed ...

1. pupil #1: feigned ignorance & acted pitiful when i wanted to suspend her from the thailand trip. gave such stupid low life reasons for why she had to skip meeting
2. pupil #2: got his classmates to all skip basketball training. & u know what excuse he tried to come up with? he went shopping with his mother???!!
3. pupil #3: one of those influenced pupils.. he thought training was on thursday. after we trained for the whole year on mondays
4. pupil #4: another of those influenced ones- he was sick (but he was at nearby cc playing)
5. pupil #5: influenced pupil- says he's sorry & realises his mistake... boohoo
6. pupil #6: i've wasted heaven knows how much time telling him to attend training. he returns sms asking eh what time is training..& proceeds to switch off his handphone so that i can't get him for the rest of the day. screw it. he's sacked.
7. pupil #7: i see him along the corridor playhing volleyball & told him there's training. he looks stunned and asked what time. Following which he promptly decides to not appear. screw it. there's another sacked player.
8. pupils #8 & #9: sec 1 boys. i've spent enough time trying to convince them to come regularly. this week i'll issue them with ultimatums. come or get lost.

Hmm... what does this reflect about the attitudes of many young people nowadays? Where's the responsibility and accountability?
